Our History
On October 30 2024 I checked in to the Courtland Grand Hotel operated by HEI Hotels and Resorts. On November 3, 2024 I checked out without my belongings. I had full housekeeping service on November 1 and after a long day of work I returned to my room to find that it had in fact been cleaned out! All of my items were missing, but the pillows were freshly fluffed! They had literally unpacked my dresser and closet and removed everything I had with me.
I notified management and they began an "investigation." The security guard confirmed that housekeeping was the last to enter my room. November 2 I filed a police report with Atlanta MPD. The day manager received a copy. Later that day when I returned I was given some socks and a pair of jogging pants and was told it was found in the laundry room as my belongings were put in the chute.
I asked to search the laundry room in an effort to retrieve the rest of my belongings valued at >$1,800 and was told I could not do that. The security guard however noted that he saw something in a closet on the floor where my room was located. Upon inspection we discovered 4 of my t-shirts folded up in the corner next to the chute.
I was assured that there was an active risk management case and that insurance would make me whole. As of 1/5/2025 no one has responded to my inquiries of 11/29, 12/3, 12/11,12/13, or 12/29. The only response I received was a negative response to a google review stating "We are sorry you misplaced your sweater."
